What is the AAO program?
Adopt an Organizer (AAO)
AAO campaigns fund organizers leaving paid employment to commit full-time to community organizing, coalition-building, and movement work. Admin-verified, escrow-disbursed, zero platform fees.
What donors fund
Your monthly goal covers real survival costs: rent, groceries, health insurance, transportation. Funds are held in Stripe escrow and disbursed monthly against verified expenses — not as a general salary.
Do you qualify?

You are transitioning from a paying job (or student status) to full-time organizing
You are affiliated with or sponsored by an established organizing group, union, coalition, or legal aid org
You have a documented history of community or labor organizing — minimum 6 months active participation
You are US-based (international support coming in 2026)
You can provide two references from organizing peers or supervisors
You do not need to be a paid staffer — volunteer organizers transition all the time
Cohorts of 2–3 co-organizers can apply together under one campaign
